We keep to the core towns right around Basking Ridge, in Somerset County and just over the Morris County line. A short, deliberate radius is what makes unhurried, on-time visits possible — the same sitter at your door every time.
A sitter juggling half of New Jersey is a sitter who is always a little behind. Visits get trimmed, arrival windows widen, and the cat waiting at the end of the route gets the worst of it. Keeping to one county means short drives between homes, real 30-minute visits, and the same person showing up on time. One of us grew up in Basking Ridge, so these are roads we actually know — including which ones flood and which ones you don’t want to take in the snow.
Home base, and the shortest drive on the list. Basking Ridge is where one of us grew up, so everything from the older homes near the village to the newer developments off Lyons Road is familiar territory. These visits get the tightest arrival windows we offer.
Including the quieter back roads and the properties set well off the street — the ones that make a rushed sitter cut a visit short. We build the extra minutes into the route instead.
Single-family homes and condo communities alike, including the townhome clusters around The Hills. Gate codes, fobs and front-desk sign-ins get sorted at the Meet & Greet so nothing is improvised on day one.
Warren Township homes tend to sit on larger lots with longer driveways, which suits indoor cats who like a quiet house and a predictable routine.

Just over the county line in Long Hill Township, Morris County — we serve it anyway because it is a short drive from home base.
